Hydration Intensified Tracking Training (HITT):
HITT was developed to help urban police K9 handlers meet the demands of their ever more challenging tracking environments. It has been successfully applied in AKC, Schutzhund, SAR, and recreational tracking.
Tracking/Trailing Board & Train
(2 weeks) – $2950
- This course covers both hard surface and soft surface tracking with our lead trainer Kenneth who has mastered the art of tracking throughout his career.
- Includes a 2.0-hour “go-home” lesson as well as two follow-up sessions at Unleashed K9 for training reinforcement.
Dog Tracking vs. Trailing
Tracking – The dog follows a human scent, sometimes with the added guidance of human or animal tracks directed by the handler. Tracking typically occurs over soft surfaces like dirt, as hard surfaces such as concrete do not retain human scent as effectively.
Trailing – The dog follows a scent either in the air or along the ground. Trailing is a more advanced skill that gives the canine greater freedom to pursue a scent as it moves and shifts with the wind. This course is designed to help you and your dog understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses, preparing you to combine both tracking and trailing effectively.
