Personal protection dog training
Protection dogs are selected to provide an everyday family dog with the skills to be operated by any family member in times of distress. Protection dogs stay with you inside your home, and can travel in your car everywhere you and your family go.
Unleashed K9 is here to provide you and your family with a properly trained companion/protection K9 who will be vigilant when you are asleep, alert as you go about your daily routine and keep those who would do you and your family harm at bay.
A famous study of incarcerated criminals revealed that when given the choice to be shot, stabbed, or bitten by a trained K9, criminals preferred to be shot and stabbed before having to face a K9. The pure deterrent effect of owning a trained protection dog is worth the price, however, if the need arises these loving companions will fight with their lives for your family.
A properly trained protection dog from Unleashed K9 should be part of your layered approach to family and home security. Contact us today to learn more about our Elite Personal Protection K9s, and how you can have a great companion and peace of mind for your family in these troubled times.
Level 1
Alarm & Deterrent Dogs
Unleashed K9 Level 1 protection dogs are trained to respond to an alert/alarm bark on command. These family protectors are also naturally territorial and we guide and reinforce their desire to vocalize when someone is present that they aren’t familiar with. Our deterrent protection dogs will bark and stand in front of or beside the handler. These dogs will place themselves between you and the subject. The alert command can be given on leash, on a walk, at your front door, inside your vehicle or anywhere you are out with your dog (on leash).
Level 1 protection dogs will also respond to the bark on command off-leash in and around your home. Yelling or shouting from the subject will not cause this dog to back down. Although a level one home protection dog will potentially bite if the subject physically challenges the dog, these dogs are not trained on how to most effectively fight the aggressor or effectively follow through with contact without question. They have also demonstrated the lack of ability to be a committed bite dog. The real purpose of our level one personal and family protection dogs is to be a strong deterrent and a member of your family.
Level 2
Personal & Family Protection Dogs
Unleashed K9 level 2 protection dogs are trained to have all level one commands for the alert bark, standing between you and any threat, and Level 2 protection dogs have also been trained to fully commit and apprehend the subject if needed. Level 2 dogs will engage in a bark, bark and hold or commit to a bite if that extreme need arises. They understand how to engage regardless of threat, they are trained to release the bite on command and they can guard the handler on and off leash 360 degrees with multiple positioning commands (left, right, center, behind/back).
*Some Level 2 dogs are an appropriate fit for business locations – this is determined based on threat level, risk assessment, environment and overall need.
Level 3
Executive & Business Protection Dogs
Unleashed K9 level 3 protection dogs have all of the training level 1 and level 2 dogs have, but they are also trained to commit to the highest level of guarding and defense regardless of being on or off-leash, environment, they can be deployed to pursue and apprehend, and they are dogs that will likely risk their own life to ensure the safety of their person or family.
Level 3 protection dogs are also trained in room searches and perimeter. Executive protection dogs are for those seeking the highest level of training and protection to keep themselves, their family/loved ones, their property, or their business safe. These dogs offer the most elite level of security all while being incredibly obedient, responsive, and loving companions. Certainly, the most loyal best friend you will ever have.
