Unleashed K9 of Minnesota is one of the best dog training facilities in the Midwest located outside the Twin Cities. It was established by Kenneth in 2019; when he moved to be with his daughter from east Tennessee after having years of experience running a high-end Training center outside of Knoxville, TN. He has trained and sold detection dogs, police dogs, sport dogs, and your everyday household pets.
Kenneth specializes in behavior modification and obedience for dogs of all ages and breeds. Kenneth did his schooling for dog training at the legendary Tarheel canine under Jerry Bradshaw. Kenneth has apprenticed under professional dog trainers and participated in dog shows, trials, seminars, and events. He is a certified AKC CGC and ATT Evaluator and has continued to expand his training methods over the years.
Our staff’s knowledge and experience with a vast majority of dog breeds have given us an opportunity to provide a service we can share with others. In addition to training working line dog breeds, we also offer beginning obedience classes for puppies and older dogs. Everything from puppy selection, crate training, feeding schedules, behavior shaping, environmental exposures, self-discovery, and confidence building for the handler and the dog.
We will teach the owners and handlers how to work with their dogs. We offer training services for beginning, intermediate, and advanced obedience, behavior modification, exposures, neutrality, herding, agility, and scent work. After evaluating your dog, we will base what method of training is best suited to achieve your goals.

Kenneth P.
As the proud owner of one of the leading K9 training companies in the midwest, Kenneth got his start in the dog business in Tennessee on his family’s 400 acre farm. After years of running a successful company in Tennessee, Kenneth moved to Minnesota in 2021 to be with his daughter, and Unleashed K9 was started.
Kenneth specializes in behavior modification and obedience for dogs of all ages and breeds. Kenneth did his schooling for dog training at the legendary Tarheel Canine under Jerry Bradshaw. Kenneth has also attended Micheal Ellis’s School, Ford K9 Detection School, and completed the NePoPoⓇ certification with Bart Bellon. Kenneth has also worked with professional dog trainers such as Tyler Muto, Haz Otterman and many other very influential trainers around the United States. He is always traveling to participate in dog shows, trials, seminars, and events. He is a certified AKC CGC and ATT Evaluator and has continued to expand his training methods over the years.
Kenneth has many detection K9s from bedbug & mold detection to explosives & narcotic detection. Kenneth also actively competes in protection sports such as IGP and PSA as well as training protection dogs for family, military and corporations. He has a passion for dogs that is unmatched and most importantly enjoys helping clients understand their dogs potential and how to better achieve a communication with their dog to make an everlasting relationship!
Emily S.
Emily got her start with dog training around 7 years ago in IGP (Schutzhund), transitioned to PSA (Protection Sports Association), Mondioring and ultimately going back to IGP. She has travelled across the country many times to train under big names in the dog sport world such as Joel Clerq, Haz Otterman, Bart & Michael Bellon, Schutzhund Kevin, Cassandra St. Pierre & more, and has attended many seminars across the country under some incredible trainers.
Emily trained at Tarheel Canine in North Carolina under Jerry Bradshaw with their police k9s and in their pet dog department. She also attended NePoPoⓇ Silver School in 2024 and received certification. She has an explosives detection k9. Emily has vast experience in the working dog breeds, as well as pet dogs. Canine Fitness, massage and nutrition are other strong suits for Emily.

When it comes to training, we believe that establishing communication for both the dog and owner is the key to success. We’ve developed a learning method based initially on positive reinforcement (food, toys, and praise). At the appropriate stage of training, we use negative reinforcers to teach the dog the consequences of unwanted behavior.
In the end, it’s about creating a mutual understanding between dog and owner that will last a lifetime. We have multiple programs that fit a variety of training needs- anything from your everyday pet dog training, sport, military, protection, and law enforcement. We welcome any and all breeds to our training program.
